Guided by the strength and mystery of nature, Hoshino’s paintings lead viewers into a deep spiritual world, represented through the traditional art of Nihonga.

This was Hoshino’s first time exhibiting in Norway. The exhibition was a collaboration between Studio Gabel and Transmit Studio, a Tokyo based gallery directed by Mitsuki Tanaka. Not only did the exhibition mark a friendship across borders, but it recognized the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Norway and Japan.
